What is the difference between 4oz and 6oz cloth?

The 4oz cloth is lighter and commonly used where lower weight and easier finishing matter. The 6oz cloth adds more reinforcement for durable laminations and repairs.

Can woven fibreglass cloth be used for ding repairs?

Yes. Woven cloth can reinforce cracks, holes, rails, noses and tails when used with compatible resin and correct surface preparation.

Do I always need cloth for a surfboard repair?

Not every surface mark needs cloth, but damage that has opened, cracked or lost material can require reinforcement. If the damage is structural or unclear, have it assessed before repairing it.

What are fin rovings used for?

Fin rovings are continuous fibreglass strands used to reinforce glass-on fins. They are wetted out with compatible resin and supported with cloth as required by the build.

Will this cloth work with any resin?

Fibreglass cloth can be used with different resin systems, but the resin must be compatible with the blank and existing board construction. Never use polyester resin on EPS foam.
